The questions clients ask us before signing — answered plainly, from twenty years of building rock, façades and submerged structures in live parks.

Timelines
- How long does a rockwork project take?
- A themed façade or a pool rock feature usually runs 6 to 12 weeks on site. A large landmark massif like Klugheim is a multi-month programme, split into armature, shotcrete, carving and painting phases. We give you a phase-by-phase planning before mobilising.
- How early should we involve you?
- As early as the concept stage. When we are in the room while volumes, sightlines and technical rooms are being fixed, we can build the rock around them instead of fighting them later. It is the cheapest time to change anything.
- Can you build while the park stays open?
- Yes. Most of our work happens in live parks, often around running attractions. We plan noise, dust, deliveries and crane movements around opening hours, and we work in closed-season windows when the schedule demands it.
- What can delay a site?
- Weather during shotcrete and painting, late structural or technical approvals, and access windows shared with other trades. We keep a weekly site diary so you always know where the programme stands.

Costs
- How is a project priced?
- By developed surface, complexity of the carving, height and access, and the level of finish. Two rocks of the same size can differ substantially in price depending on how much hand sculpting and painting detail they carry.
- What does a quotation include?
- Engineering coordination, steel armature, mesh, shotcrete, hand carving, painting, and site protection. Scaffolding, cranes, water features and planting are listed separately so you can see exactly what you are buying.
- Do you work with a fixed budget?
- We can. Tell us the envelope early and we shape the design around it — adjusting surface, detail level and phasing rather than cutting quality on the parts visitors touch and photograph.
- How is payment staged?
- Normally an instalment at order, then payments tied to completed phases on site, with a balance at handover. The exact schedule is set in the contract before mobilisation.

Guarantees and aftercare
- What guarantee do you give?
- Structure and shotcrete shell are covered by the statutory construction guarantees applicable to the project country. Paint and coatings are guaranteed for an agreed period depending on exposure — submerged, splash zone or open air.
- How long does the finish last?
- Our mineral finishes are built for decades of weather and crowds. Colour on heavily exposed surfaces softens over the years; a repaint campaign every several seasons keeps a landmark looking new.
- Do you handle maintenance and repairs?
- Yes. We come back for inspections, touch-ups, repainting and repairs after impact or wear, on our own work and on rockwork built by others.
- Is the rockwork safe for water and public contact?
- Yes. Submerged and splash-zone structures are built with pool-compatible materials and coatings, and every climbable or touchable surface is finished to avoid sharp edges.
